Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples, Safet Softić, received the group of advisors in British Embassies in the countries of the region

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH), Safet Softić, received today in Sarajevo the group of advisors for Political and Economic Issues in British Embassies in Western Balkans countries.

The guests from the Embassies of the United Kingdom in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia, as well as from the British Ministry of Foreign Affairs, were interested in the economic perspectives of the region, the possibilities of improving of regional cooperation on the political and economic areas as well as the progress of our country in the process of European integration.

Emphasizing that the British - German initiative unlocked the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina two years ago and contributed significantly to the opening of our country's economic perspectives, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the PABiH, Safet Softić, said that executive powers at all levels, despite periodical political crises, invest enormous efforts to  implement reforms and to meet the European Economic Agenda.

Mr. Softić welcomed the regional summit of the region's prime ministers held in Sarajevo, estimating that this conference will contribute significantly to the calming of political tensions in BiH and in the entire region, and will open the space for improving of political relations and economic cooperation among Western Balkans countries.

According to Mr. Softić, the regional cooperation represents the key to stability and prosperity of BiH and all the countries of the region. In this regard, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the PABiH has also emphasized the role of parliaments, as institutions where all outstanding issues and political differences can be overcome at the easiest way.
