Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH Šefik Džaferović talked with the Ambassador of NR China

Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH) Šefik Džaferović talked today with the Ambassador of NR China to our country, Chen Bo.

On this occasion, it was stated that the relations between China and our country in the political, economic and cultural field are at the very high level, but there is still significant and unused space for their further improvement. Active participation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the initiative 16+1 aimed at improving relations between East and South East European countries and China contributes to the developments of these relations.

Speaker Džaferović welcomed successful cooperation between BiH and China Parliament and added that in addition to communication between the leaders of two parliaments, they should insist on additional exchange of knowledge and experience at the level of parliamentary working bodies.

Ambassador Bo informed the Speaker of the House of Representatives on economic project that are interesting to Chinese investors and in particular emphasized projects related to the energy sector and transport infrastructure.  They agreed that in this respect the field of agriculture is very potent thanks to which BiH businessmen could more seriously present themselves on the big Chinese market. However, it was stated that more efforts should be made on the systemic elimination of all administrative barriers that hinder greater trade between the two countries.

During the meeting, the Chinese Ambassador was informed on Džaferović's view of the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the reform path of our country towards Euro-Atlantic integration and the efforts made in order to raise the standard of the citizens. Along with active co-operation with all friendly countries, said the Speaker of the House of Representatives, these are key factors for achieving full and lasting stability of BiH. (End)
