Chairman of the Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (NATO PA), Nikola Lovrinović, and a member of the Delegation, Asim Sarajlić, met with the newly elected President of the NATO PA, Madeleine Moon, on the margins of the 64th annual NATO PA session in Halifax, Canada.
Ms. Moon, who is a member of the Delegation of the Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to NATO PA, emphasised strong support for Bosnia and Herzegovina and its citizens in their efforts to speed up their progress along the European and Euro-Atlantic paths.
Aware of the difficulties that accompany the current state of political relations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ms. Moon invited political leaders, as she said, to have dialogue and courage in taking steps that will further stabilise the economic situation and open up space for better mutual understanding.
Ms. Moon, who visited Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region this spring, also urged strengthening of bilateral and regional co-operation in the Western Balkans. (End)
