Meeting of the Members of the Collegium of the House of Representatives with the Speaker of the Congress of Representatives of the Kingdom of Spain

 
At the invitation of the Parliament of Spain, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Dr. Milorad Živković, and his deputies Dr. Božo Ljubić and Dr. Denis Bećirović paid an official visit to the Kingdom of Spain.

During today's meeting with our Delegation, the Speaker of the Congress of Representatives (the House of Representatives) of the Kingdom of Spain, Mr Jesus Posada Moreno, expressed his satisfaction at the meeting of the two countries’ parliamentarians. A common hope was also expressed that co-operation between BiH and Spain's working bodies would improve through meetings.

Importance was placed on creating opportunities for more successful economic co-operation. During such process, parliamentarians can contribute significantly by initiating and accelerating the signing of inter-state agreements and protocols. The following agreements for improving relations between BiH and the Kingdom of Spain, were stressed as extremely important: an International
Agreement on Road Traffic, signed between BiH and the Kingdom of Spain; Protocol on the Implementation of the Agreement between BiH and the EU on the Readmission of Persons Residing without Authorization, signed between the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of Spain; and an Agreement on Mutual Military Co-operation.

The Speaker of the Congress of Representatives, Mr Moreno, accepted an invitation by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr Milorad Živković, for a return working visit to BiH. The Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH continues its official visit with a meeting with the Kingdom of Spain’s President of the Senate, Mr Pio Garcia Escudero.
