Chairwoman of the Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH) to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE PA), Aleksandra Pandurević and her deputy, Bariša Čolak, are taking part in the work of the 26th OSCE Economic and Environmental Forum, which began today in Venice.

During the two-day forum, held under this year's OSCE chairmanship, the parliamentarians from the member states of this international organization will discuss the topic of "Promoting economic progress and security in the OSCE area through innovation, human capital development and good public and corporate governance".

Parliamentarians will exchange experiences and opinions on investment policies and promotion of favourable business environment to accelerate economic growth in the era of digitalisation. The impact of digitisation on investment and economic relations will be particularly discussed as well as the innovative forms of entrepreneurship.

Within the five planned sessions, there will be a dialogue on the development of human resources, which, as assessed by the organisers, is an essential factor of economic security, growth, development and competitiveness. In this regard, the impact of demographic opportunities on economic productivity and growth will also be addressed. Participants of the OSCE Forum in Venice will also discuss strengthening of good public and corporate governance through principles of transparency and accountability.

The Economic and Environmental Forum is a central annual meeting within the OSCE's Economic and Environmental Dimension. The aim of these meetings is to identify needs and priorities in this area, to raise awareness and to incite the political will of 57 OSCE Member States in addressing challenges related to economics, environmental protection and security, and to exchange best practices, and establish a platform for dialogue with representatives of international organizations, business and academic communities and civil society for these issues.
