Speaker of the House of Peoples of the PABiH, Nikola Špirić Ph.D., met with the special representative for the Western Balkans of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania

"The Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nikola ŠpirićPh.D., met today in Sarajevo with the special representative for the Western Balkans of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania, Adrian Davidoiu.

Issues of internal and regional development were discussed, especially the process of further approximation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the European Union, as well as the possibilities of improving bilateral co-operation.

It was noted that the two countries have good and friendly relations, with no open issues. It was assessed that it is possible to improve trade exchange, as well as other forms of economic co-operation.

Dr. Špirić informed the guest about the process of forming the government after the October elections. One of the defined priorities of the newly established government will be the acceleration of the process of integration into the European Union.

Mr. Davidoiu expressed Romania's full support for the accession process of Bosnia and Herzegovina and other countries of the region to the European Union.

The interlocutors agreed that it is necessary to improve inter-parliamentary co-operation.
