Member of the House of Representatives of PABiH Jasmin Imamović Meets with German Bundestag Member

Today, Member of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH), Jasmin Imamović, met with Ms. Jasmina Hostert, Member of the German Bundestag, at the PABiH premises.

The discussion focused on the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and ways to overcome what both sides assessed as a serious political and security crisis caused by attacks on the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina by the current leadership of the Republika Srpska entity.

Ms. Hostert expressed support for the constitutional order, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the preservation of peace, security and stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She condemned the attacks on Bosnia and Herzegovina's constitutional order and supported its Euro-Atlantic integration path, as well as the work of state institutions in removing obstacles to these processes. She also emphasized Germany's full support as a proven friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina, both bilaterally and through EU political bodies. Ms. Hostert also expressed support for High Representative Christian Schmidt's work.

Representative Imamović thanked the people and government of friendly Germany for their decades-long strong support to Bosnia and Herzegovina. He emphasized Bosnia and Herzegovina's determination on its Euro-Atlantic path while expressing concern about the current assault on the constitutional order by part of the Republika Srpska authorities. However, he also voiced optimism regarding opposition parties and many citizens from that entity, as well as the strength demonstrated by Bosnia and Herzegovina's judiciary. Imamović also expressed concern about delays in appointing the Security Minister and obstructions to the normal work of the House of Peoples of PABiH.
