Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr Nikola Špirić, received the newly appointed Ambassador of Japan to BiH on a courtesy visit
The Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PA BiH), Dr Nikola Špirić, received the newly appointed Ambassador of Japan to BiH, H.E. Aiki Toshihiro, in a courtesy visit today.
During the meeting, Speaker Špirić welcomed Ambassador Toshihiro to Bosnia and Herzegovina and wished him a successful mandate, expressing his confidence that bilateral relations between the two countries will continue to develop and strengthen across all sectors.
Ambassador Toshihiro expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and emphasised Japan’s commitment to further supporting Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path to stability and prosperity. He highlighted the importance of deepening interparliamentary cooperation as a key factor in strengthening overall relations. He confirmed that Japan will continue to provide support to Bosnia and Herzegovina through various aid projects and technical cooperation, aiming to contribute to its progress and European integration. Furthermore, Ambassador Toshihiro expressed interest in new projects that would contribute to the economic development of BiH and the improvement of the quality of life of its citizens.
The interlocutors agreed that there is significant potential to expand cooperation, particularly in the areas of investment, tourism, and knowledge exchange. In this regard, Speaker Špirić informed the Ambassador about the current political and economic situation in BiH, emphasising the need for ongoing internal dialogue among key political actors on all open issues in the country.
