Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr Denis Zvizdić, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to BiH on a courtesy visit

The Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PA BiH), Dr Denis Zvizdić, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to BiH, H.E. Sarah Eti Castellani, on a courtesy visit and briefed her on the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the discussions, the traditionally good and friendly relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Italy were reaffirmed, along with the expressed readiness to further strengthen them in the political, economic, and cultural spheres.
Ambassador Castellani reiterated the Republic of Italy’s firm and principled support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as for the country’s European and Euro-Atlantic path. She emphasised that Italy remains a strong advocate for BiH’s European perspective and an important partner in the reform process.
Particular attention during the meeting was dedicated to intensifying cooperation in the field of culture. The initiative to establish an Italian Cultural Institute in Sarajevo was discussed, which would represent a significant contribution to strengthening cultural ties between the two countries. Mutual support was also expressed for the continuation and development of the Ars Aevi project, as a symbol of dialogue, art, and European values.
Speaker Zvizdić thanked Italy for its continuous support to Bosnia and Herzegovina in all important processes, stressing that BiH institutions appreciate Italy’s constructive role and its contribution to the stability and progress of the entire region.
