Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the PA BiH Marinko Čavara met in Zagreb with the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia

"Čavara and Grlić Radman: stable and functional BiH is a prerequisite for the European path.
Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Marinko Čavara, spoke in Zagreb with the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, Gordan Grlić Radman.
During the meeting, they discussed the current political and security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with special emphasis on the process of European integration, the stability of institutions, and the position of the constituent peoples.
In the conversation with Minister Grlić Radman, Mr. Čavara referred to the recent provocations in the Central Bosnia Canton. He pointed out that such events indicate the existence of certain circles that seek to incite tensions. Although the relations between the peoples in Central Bosnia are in most cases correct and stable, such phenomena cause concern and demand a decisive institutional response in sanctioning the perpetrators and potential order-leaders, said Čavara, and emphasized that a stable and functional Bosnia and Herzegovina is a prerequisite for any true social and economic progress, as well as that without institutional efficiency and inter-national trust there is no sustainable future.
Speaking about the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Čavara assessed that it can only be realized through the consistent implementation of reforms, respect for the constitutional order and full equality of all constituent peoples. In this process, as he pointed out, the support of the Republic of Croatia as a neighbouring and friendly country, a member of the European Union, is of key importance.
Minister Gordan Grlić Radman once again expressed dedicated support for the European perspective of Bosnia and Herzegovina and emphasized: "Croatia remains a strong advocate for the European future of Bosnia and Herzegovina, its territorial integrity and institutional stability. We will continue to protect the position of the Croatian people as an equal and constituent people of BiH. A stable and functional Bosnia and Herzegovina is in the interest not only of the Croatian people, but also of the entire region and the European Union."
The interlocutors agreed that the continuation of open dialogue, cooperation and support is key to strengthening bilateral relations, regional security and realizing the European perspective of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
