Speaker of the House of Representatives of the PABiH, Marinko Čavara, receives the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to BiH

The Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH), Marinko Čavara, received on a courtesy visit the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Bosnia and Herzegovina, María Molina Álvarez de Toledo.

During an open and constructive discussion, Speaker Čavara informed Ambassador Molina Álvarez de Toledo about the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the challenges the country faces in the process of European integration, particularly in the context of the opening of accession negotiations with the European Union. He emphasised the importance of continuing reform processes, as well as strengthening political stability and institutional functionality as key preconditions for the further progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina on its European path.

Ambassador Molina Álvarez de Toledo expressed the full support of the Kingdom of Spain for Bosnia and Herzegovina in the process of accession to the European Union, stressing that Spain strongly supports Bosnia and Herzegovina’s European perspective and remains a reliable partner and friend of the country at all stages of the integration process. She particularly underlined the importance of further strengthening cooperation between the two states, especially at the institutional level.

The interlocutors also reflected on the importance of enhancing mutual parliamentary cooperation, the exchange of experience and good practice, as well as on the possibilities for further strengthening the overall bilateral relations between the two countries. A shared readiness to continue dialogue and cooperation with the aim of further developing friendly relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Kingdom of Spain was emphasised.
