Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Darko Babalj, met with the Ambassador of China to Bosnia and Herzegovina

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Darko Babalj today received the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Bosnia and Herzegovina Li Fan for an inaugural visit.

During the talks, it was jointly assessed that the relations between China and Bosnia and Herzegovina are very good, that they are developing in a stable way, and that there are no open issues between the two friendly countries. It was underlined that there is great potential for their expansion, especially in the area of ​​economic cooperation, above all in the area of ​​construction of infrastructure facilities.

Deputy Speaker Babalj emphasized today that in a number of local areas there are exceptional conditions for the construction of communal and energy facilities that can improve the lives of citizens in wider areas of Bosnia and Herzegovina. China, which has an enviable experience in the realization of successful infrastructure facilities in our country, is imposing itself, as he said, as a very desirable and proven partner in the further construction of such facilities. In addition, Mr. Babalj added, the primary task of the authorities at higher levels is to facilitate direct contact for potential investors with representatives of local communities in which there is interest and already developed projects for quality investments in infrastructure and energy projects.

Therefore, one of the conclusions of today's conversation is the creating of conditions for the representatives of the Embassy of China to hold talks with the mayors of municipalities in which there are very good conditions and already completed projects for the construction of wind power plants, solar power plants, municipal waste management facilities, water supply, as well as for the implementation of other projects whose main goal is to improve the lives of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Expressing satisfaction over the fact that this year marks three decades of diplomatic relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and China, as well as the successful cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries, Ambassador Li Fan invited the leadership of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina to officially visit the People's Republic of China.
