Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dr Dragan Čović met with the Minister of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia

"Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH), Dr Dragan Čović, visited today the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia, where he met with Minister Nina Obuljen Koržinek. The meeting was also attended by Member of the House of Representatives of PABiH, Darijana Filipović.

During the talks, readiness was expressed to further enhance cooperation between the two states in the field of culture, with a particular emphasis on the preservation and strengthening of the Croatian cultural identity in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The interlocutors highlighted the importance of joint projects of cultural and scientific institutions and considered further support for the exchange of cultural and artistic content, which contributes to mutual understanding and closer ties.

Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples Dr Čović emphasised that strong political action across all levels of government provides support for the affirmation of cultural heritage and the preservation of the Croatian identity in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He pointed out that culture remains one of the fundamental bridges of cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia, and expressed his conviction that the continuation of joint projects will further strengthen the ties between the two states.

Minister Obuljen Koržinek expressed her support for all initiatives that promote the cultural values of Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina, stressing the readiness of the Ministry of Culture and Media to provide institutional and professional assistance to projects that connect cultural institutions and communities in both states. She particularly underlined the importance of strengthening cultural exchange and cooperation as a contribution to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s European progress.
