The Committee for the Preparation of the Election of the BiH Council of Ministers (the Committee) reviews and analyses all available information that candidates nominated for the position of Chair and member of the BiH Council of Ministers are obliged to submit according to the Law on BiH Council of Ministers. As needed, the Committee interviews the nominated candidates regarding the submitted information and their suitability to carry out the roles for which they have been nominated.
According to the submitted information and, when needed, upon completed interviews with the candidates, the Committee makes a decision on the recommendation to the House in favour of confirming the candidates nominated to the positions of Chair and member of the BiH Council of Ministers. The recommendation of the Committee, containing the number of votes "against" and the accompanying explanation of such votes, is not binding for the House.
The number of members of the Committee is not constant and is established for each newly elected House separately, at the inaugural session, depending on the election results.
The Committee comprises one representative of each political party, coalition, list of independent candidates, as well as all independent candidates who hold a representatives’ mandate in the House.
