30. Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Francophonie for the region of Europe closed in Sarajevo

The two-day meeting, which was attended by President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie Jacques Chagnon and Commissioner of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie for the region of Europe, Jean - Paul Wahl, as well as more than 60 parliamentarians from European countries, was dedicated to the encouragement of employment and social economic growth in the countries of Francophone area, as well as pointing out the advantage of the knowledge of the French language for job seekers.

During today's session, the participants also discussed the process of European integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Western Balkans countries, as well as the projects and investments in the realization of which member states of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie can help. Representatives of the European Union Delegation in BiH took part at the session and spoke about the implementation of the reform agenda and the development of private entrepreneurship in the process of European integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as entrepreneurs and lawyers from our country who spoke about the education and knowledge of foreign languages, especially French as strategic tools in the process of creating new jobs.

After the working part of the session, a promotional film of the French Institute in Sarajevo was presented to the participants and guests as well as a performance of students who learn French in Sarajevo's primary and secondary schools.

The highest representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie expressed their gratitude to the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the successful organization of this regional meeting. The Parliamentary Assembly of BiH has got the status of a permanent observer at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie since July 2013. (End)
