Members of the Joint Committee for European Integration of the BiH PA participated in the 15th Inter-Parliamentary meeting European Parliament – Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina

 
The BiH PA must resolve the question of the implementation of the Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg’s verdict in the Sejdić and Finci v. BiH case, establish a co-ordination mechanism for achieving a faster route to the EU, and amend and supplement the Law on Veterinary Medicine in BiH, so that BiH farmers can export milk into the Republic of Croatia, BiH PA JCEI’s members were told today during the 15th inter-Parliamentary meeting European Parliament – BiH PA held in Brussels.

At the two-day meeting with the Delegation of the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy (FASP) of the European Commission, the BiH PA was represented by Halid Genjac, Chairman of the Joint Committee, Deputy Vesna Krstović-Spremo, and members Mehmed Bradarić, Stjepan Krešić and Lazar Prodanović.

During the meeting, the Delegation of the High Representative expressed satisfaction with the results that BiH had achieved in constitutional reform, in the reconciliation process in the region, and in the current state and future prospects of agriculture and its regional development.

In addition, Joint Committee members attended a meeting of the Board for Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament, where the Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs spoke about his country’s priorities during its six-month presidency of the European Union. (end)
