Dr Božo Ljubić, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, spoke to the Ambassador of Greece in Bosnia and Herzegovina


Dr Božo Ljubić, the Deputy Speaker of the BiH PA House of Representatives, met today with the Ambassador of Greece in BiH, Karolos Gadis.
One of the talking points was the intensification of Parliamentary co-operation between the two countries, to which the official invitation to the Heads of the Parliamentary Assemblies of BiH to visit Greece will especially contribute.

Dr Božo Ljubić, Deputy Speaker of the BiH PA HoR expressed that, during bilateral meetings of officials, it is necessary to talk about the strengthening of co-operation, especially in economic terms such as commerce or regional transport connections. In that context, special attention needs to be devoted to transport and energy connections, emphasized Ljubic.

During the meeting between Deputy Speaker Ljubic and Ambassador Gadis, joint themes were discussed in light of the upcoming presidency of Greece of the European Union, and the aspirations of BiH on its way to the EU.

Ambassador Gladis was interested in hearing at what stage were the reforms necessary for BiH’s Euro-Atlantic path, emphasizing that his country will continue to support BiH, especially during its presidency of the EU in the first half of 2014.

Ambassador Gladis was especially interested in the fulfilment of the conditions of the judgment of the European Court of Human Rights in the Sejdic & Finci vs. BiH case, and the question of military property. (end)
