Chair of the Caucus of SDPBiH representatives in the PABiH House of Representatives Saša Magazinović met with Dr. Draginja Vuksanović Stanković

"The Chair of the caucus of SDPBiH representatives in the BiH Parliament, Saša Magazinović, received a member of parliament from the Social Democratic Party of Montenegro and a candidate for the president of Montenegro, Dr. Draginja Vuksanović Stanković.

During the meeting, officials discussed successful parliamentary cooperation and mutual support in international institutions. Magazinović particularly expressed his satisfaction that after Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro also started activities on the legalization of cannabis for medical purposes, thanks to Adnan Striković and Draginja Vuksanović Stanković, who are the proponents of the Law on the Legalization of Cannabis Oil for Medical Purposes.

During the conversation, Magazinović and Vuksanović Stanković paid considerable attention to the political situation in the region, talking about the need for cooperation in the fight to stop the return of washed-up radical policies from the war nineties. The interlocutors believe that the principles of mutual respect, equality, justice and solidarity are more necessary in the region today than ever.

Magazinović pointed out that in times when politics lacks a greater number of those who show courage, fearlessness and responsibility in the defence of civilizational values in the Balkans, Draginja Vuksanović Stanković represents a bright example, not only of a person who does this, but also inspires and motivates others to erase their fears and be part of progressive processes.

Draginja Vuksanović Stanković pointed out that European values and principles in our region are being questioned and that today Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro are the defenders of those values. She emphasized that denial of genocide and glorification of war criminals must be prosecuted by the judiciary.

Also, the meeting confirmed mutual satisfaction with the relations between the two countries, which, as pointed out, have no open issues. The officials also emphasized the importance of further strengthening friendly relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro" (statement from the Caucus of SDPBiH representatives in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH)
