Delegation of PA BiH in PA NATO participates at the 58th Annual Conference in Prague

 
The Speaker, Milorad Živković and the members of permanent Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Parliamentary Assembly of North Atlantic Treaty Organization (PA NATO), Božo Ljubić and Asim Sarajlić take part in the 58th Annual session of PA NATO in Prague, Czech Republic. In the past two days, the Conference worked in committees.

The Agenda includes foreign and security priorities of NATO, consequences of the Arab Spring for Euro-Atlantic security, the consequences of the security situation in Afghanistan to the countries of Central and Southwest Asia as well as the implications of the current situation in Syria and Iran on the countries in the region and beyond.

Members of the Committee for Civil Dimension of Security paid particular attention on the issues regarding current situation in the Middle East and North Africa and relations between Russian Federation and Euro-Atlantic community.
Members of the Committee for Defense and Security also exchanged views on the role of NATO in maritime security and the fight against piracy, as well as the impact on regional security after the withdrawal of NATO forces from Afghanistan.

Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina in NATO PA also visited the Embassy of BiH in the Check Republic. The Ambassador, Mr. Nediljko Bilić and his associates, introduced the delegation with bilateral relations, economic relations between the two countries and the efforts being made to establish business contacts. According to Ambassador Bilić, trade has been increased lately; cooperation in the field of culture and education enhanced and overall relations between the two countries improved. (End)
