The delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina attended the meeting of the extended international secretariat and committee chairpersons and rapporteurs of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Orthodoxy in Cyprus.

The delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH) to the Interparliamentary Assembly of Orthodoxy including Snježana Novaković Bursać and Ljubica Miljanović, attended the meeting of the extended international secretariat and committee chairpersons and rapporteurs of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Orthodoxy, from March 16 to 19, held in Limassol, Republic of Cyprus.

During their stay in Cyprus, the members of the PABiH Delegation met with the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides, Minister of Foreign Affairs Constantinos Kombos and Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Republic of Cyprus Annita Demetriou.

The meeting in Cyprus was held in the framework of the preparation for the 30th anniversary of the General Assembly of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Orthodoxy, which will be held from June 29 to July 3 in Greece.

During the meeting, there was also a presentation of the book "Hagia Sophia - Church of the Wisdom of God in the World", which is the most important publication of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Orthodoxy published so far. During the presentation, it was emphasized that it is inappropriate and contradictory to try to separate the fundamental values of solidarity, diversity and peace from their historical context and their indisputable religious background. Christian values have influenced European civilization for many years, and, despite cultural differences, these values have fostered a sense of community among the peoples of Europe, it was said at the presentation.

The members of the PABiH Delegation to the Interparliamentary Assembly of Orthodoxy, Snjezana Novaković Bursać and Ljubica Miljanović, had numerous bilateral meetings with parliamentary delegations, as well as with church dignitaries Metropolitan Atanasi of Limassol and Metropolitan George of Paphos.
